Printing Purchase Order Numbers on Checks

Hi!  All I want to do is have NetSuite print on our checks our purchase order numbers we are paying to our vendor.  Does anyone know how to do this?  We can do it manually by entering the numbers in the Memo field but the point is automation so any ideas?
