How can you create a multi-option select item option field?

I was wondering if it is possible to create a item option field that can have multiple selects in the same option field?

Example:

Item has 1 Item option field with multiple choices to pick from.

a, b, c, etc.  You can pick a and b or a,b,c or a and c.....

Thoughts?
