Approve Journals Suiteflow

We have some workflow processes around JE Approvals that work perfect if the user is in the Transactions > Financial > Make Journal Entries screen; however when a user goes to Transactions > Financial > Approve Journal Entries (Approve Journals), it seems like all approval logic (workflows) are ignored.

Can someone confirm this is the case and has anyone been able to find a workaround?
