Inventory report help

2 Questions -

How can you create a report to show sales by time frame and on hand inventory by item on same report.

Does any one have or know how to create a time phased inventory report,
To show open sales orders and inventory on hand by week.  To allow you to see flow of inbound (on Order) and manage orders and inventory.
