Help with line item discount calculation

Hello Usergroup,

Happy new year - I'm stumped (I'm sure the answer probably involves a script - but I don't have any clue on how to write it or where to start yet) 

My Net30 customer gets 30% off.  Technically they receive 27% off, with the extra 3% acting as an accrual for warranty replacement purposes.  Obviously the total discount is 30% off MSRP, but I need to somehow show/quantify the amount of 3% on the invoice or sales order so that the client can see the value of the 3% off from their order, NOT  the total 30%  Is there a way I can display the value of this 3% savings somewhere on the paperwork?
