Custom Item Fields & Sublists

OK -- I'm feeling like a total newb here:  One of the things we are doing is tracking the growth of our Items (they are live).  I have made the necessary custom fields and now I am trying to make a sublist so that we can see the changes in growth.

I created a Saved Search based on the Custom Fields and I can see the "current weight" as it stands; however, I'm not able to build out the rest of the SubList.

A few years ago I did something similar with Child Sponsorship and it worked out beautifully.  I am just hitting a road block.
