Print Component Item # for Kit/Package

edited Jan 8, 2020 3:32AM in SuiteCloud / Customization

We are having an issue with printing pick tickets or sales orders for Kits.  The way we have named our inventory, the item # is the Item Name/Number NS field.  Display name is populated with a short name (No number).  We actually do not intend to print the display name anywhere.  The first column on printed SOs is a custom field that sources from the Item Name/Number.  However, when printing a kit this custom field shows the Item Name/Number for the parent item on every item within the kit.

So my question is, is it possible to pull in any source data from component items for a kit that would print on the pick ticket/SO?  It seems like the parent overrides everything.  I am hoping to script something to pull the Item Name/Number for each component and put that on the printed SO.  But I don't know if I have access to that Netsuite logic....any help would be appreciated.

Howdy, Stranger!
