Adding Vendor name to Task Entry form

Hello-

Is it possible to add a field to reference a Vendor name on a Task form?

We are using tasks as sales reports for our salesmen and would like to be able to track which vendors were discussed on a sales call.

I tried to source the field when creating a new task field, but the vendor table is not available.
