PDF customization possible with netsuite?

One of our umbrella companies is considering moving into netsuite.  They are an installation / services company which is much different from our implementation.  One of the key pieces for them is the automation of "filling out" customer forms.  For example, the local utility provider has a solar interconnection form.  They currently use numbers (mac version of excel) to overlay fields on the pdf, pull the fields from another form, and then export the form with the filled in fields.  There are 20 to 30 forms throughout the project that would need ideally pull fields in netsuite to automate the
