Tracking Items packed in boxes
There is no native functionality in Netsuite for boxing items. This is unfortunate and needed for a variety of reasons.
We are going to implement our own mechanism for tracking boxes.
The first thought was to create a new Custom Record for a box (as in, an instance of a box, not a box type) and add it to the Transaction table for use on Item Fulfillment.
Unfortunately, we are restricted in the item fulfillment to the number of lineitems created on the sales order, so this would apparently not work in the event items of one type were split among multiple boxes. (ex: SKU ABC QTY 50, where 25 go in one box and 25 in another)
