Advanced Templates - Code Functions/Logic Available?

I am creating a PDF template in the Advanced Templates section.  I would like to "pad" a number/field that I am printing on the document to have leading zeros.  I need 9 characters in total.

Example:  right now we have a 5 digit number (45623) and I need it to print out on the PDF document like this - "000045623"  (without the quotes).

What code language is being used within the templates.  I looked over the BFO UserGuide, but it doesn't really spell it out for you.  The BFO User Guide can be found here: http://bfo.com/products/report/docs/userguide.pdf
