Item Drilldown Template - Update Matrix Child Items

Hello,

I'm sure this was possible at one point? But is there a way we can update this script so it allows users to update Child Matrix items Please.

If so, please post what exactly is needed and the script. Please.

I'm sure If we create a child custom field then the script could update all (Parent and Child) rather than just the Parent item.
