Group summary will not display properly as a graph

Hi everyone, I have noticed a strange behavior in 19.1

I have a saved Transaction Search with the results group-summarized by a custom category type field, and a summary type of 'Sum' for the field "Amount (Net of Tax)". In 2018.2, this was working fine.

Now in 2019.1, it will not display a graph when ‘Output Type’ is set to graph (an unexpected error has occurred), but the report values are properly displayed as currency with correct values when the saved search ‘Output Type’ is changed to 'normal'.  Also, when the summary type is sum or any other mathematical type (average, min, etc...) it fails, but interestingly,
