Individual Customer Setting

We use a LastName, FirstName naming convention.  Unfortunately in v11 when you select Individual it automatically enters FirstName LastName in the entity/ID field.  Obviously this can be manually overridden but it is such as waste of time.  Is there anyway to set it, to put LastName, FirstName as it does with the employee records.
