Customer Number Change at last UPDATE

When the last update occurred NetSuite automatically changed the customer numbering system I was using.  I was using 2 alpha and 5 numeric as in CU05376.  They changed numbers going forward from the update to CU41804860  for instance.  I have not been able to change back in the configuration page for auto-generated numbers.  Does anyone know how to correct this?
