standard 'Name' field disappeared from purchase item columns

edited Dec 13, 2019 11:46PM in General 4 comments

What's happened to the 'name' field on the line items (column fields) of purchase orders and bills??

We use drop ship POs a lot and need to report on the transactions that have been billed and the clients they refer too.  On a purchase order, the 'client' field (id = shipto) records this in the body.  However, due to the fact that multiple purchase orders can be billed to a single bill, this field can't be mapped to the body of a bill.

Therefore, on the PO we used the 'name' field on a line item column that was automatically populated with the client field from the body (standard out of the box functionality).  This then was on the line item and COULD be mapped to the bill when we took the PO to bill.

Howdy, Stranger!
