CSV Item Import in 2007.0

There seem to be a ton of fields missing in the import CSV wizard for Item.  Infact, I only count about 15 total importable fields.  Some key fields such as QTY, TOTAL VALUE are missing so we can establish not AVG Cost or QTY on hand in bring inventory over from our legacy system.  Not to mention none of my custom fields are showing up either on the list of NS fields.

Any work arounds?
