Description Field Problem in Sales Orders and PO's

I am having problems since the latest upgrade.  Using Safari as my browser - When I enter an item # in a sales or purchase order and hit tab, all relevant fields pull in from the item record except the description field.

Also, if I go to edit an item already on an order, the description field clears itself so that I have to retype from memory what is there.  It will not pull in by reentering the item #.

This is making life really difficult.

Anyone else having a similar experience?
