Benefits of Testing the Beta Release for 2007.0

I just wanted to share with everyone the benefits my company received from proper testing of the 2007.0 Beta account.

First, I'd like to say that, IMO, "Beta" is a poor name for this account. A better name would be "Test Account". Here's the reason:

[*]As far as I can tell, the sole purpose of releasing the 2007.0 Beta to ALL customers was to allow each of us to test our specific account (data and customizations) with the new software.
[*]In traditional software development, "Beta" is applied to a specific built of a future version that is tested by selected end-users to obtain feedback on bugs, features, and implementation.[LIST]
