v2008.1 Promotion Code Form Customization

Has anyone tested or used this new feature in v2008.1?  Can someone describe the range of customization that can be achieved given the promotion code form can now have suitescript and custom fields attached?  Can this be used to control the offer by enforcing minimum order size?  Could be great news!
