Workflows - lead nuturing

I have watched the trianing videos and am going to create a test workflow in our beta account tomorrow. I suppose my quesion is whether or not this is worth it?

The workflows module will be a beta versions so does that mean it is broken or simply not ready for widescale deployment yet? I have an idea which one it will be....

that said the functionality looks great and especially useful for the lead nurturing/drip marketing side of things.
