Change textbox border on forms

Is there a way to change the color or thickness of the textbox borders on forms within NetSuite?  We tried Set Preferences > Appearance, but the settings there don't seem to change the borders at all.  We have some users who complain that they can't see the borders, and we've been changing the monitor settings, but that causes problems for other programs that they use.  We were thinking that making the borders black or making them thicker would do the trick, but we can't find a way to do that.  Any ideas?
