In Line Editing blanks out field

Since our account was upgraded to 2013.1 we've noticed that if you have a Saved Search that has In Line Editing turned on, and you go to edit the text in a field that is of type "Text Area", it blanks out all the existing text instead of letting you edit what was already there.   Even though it says "Loading Text...".

I've confirmed this in both IE 9 and Firefox 18.0.2.

I've submitted case #1638316, but just wondering if it's already a known defect.
