This new layout

Who tested this? The answer is surely... nobody! Everything is too big. I'm looking at search results on my macbook and I see headings and filters take up 80% of the screen. I can only see 5 results without scrolling. And the scrolling area remains only the bottom 20% of the screen because the header/filter area remains where it is. Awful.
