Another custom segments question

Can anyone confirm as to whether the new Custom Segments will flow through values properly to rev rec journals generated by NetSuite? Perhaps I set it up incorrectly, however if I have a new custom segment on the line of an invoice with an associated rev rec template, it doesn't look like the value in the custom segment gets carried over to the rev rec journal. If that's the case, the use of custom segments is very limiting if you use rev rec (or amortization schedules as well I assume). Going one step further, how about Intercompany Adjustments for expenses
