ship type based on customer type

Hi there,
We have a wholesale and a retail business.  We would like to charge a different shipping rate based on the type of customer.  For example

Retail customers-- a fixed shipping grid (new net suite feature)

Wholesale customer- UPS real time rate.

the problem that I have found is that ALL shipping rates will appear to ALL types of customers.  Is there anyway to limit which shipping rates are available to which types of customers?
