Packing Slip bug? Can't add Item # to column

The item description and item name both list the Item Description in the Packing Slip.  It does however show up correctly in the Shipping Report.  This is strange because these fields show to be exactly the same whether in setup for the shipping report or for the packing slip and everywhere else.  It just shows up wrong in the PDF

FYI - we use the Item: Name field to list our stock numbers (this is what we NEED to show up).

For now, we're having to make up our own Excel sheets for packing slips.  NS isn't quite doing what we need.
