Backorder status for customer orders
We would really appreciate some help with this one...
Has anyone devised a method of notifying a customer if an item they ordered is backordered preferably by listing line item status in the customer's online order status display. (We don't want to turn on "Backordered" site-wide for various reasons.)
Secondly, can an email be constructed that will search for items backordered and generate an email for a customer with backordered items.
Other best practices for this issue welcomed.
