Fulfilling one sales order from multiple locations

I have looked through the threads and can't find anyone with this issue, so I am going to pose this question...

We have an inventory in several locations and we also drop ship from several locations.  Ideally, we would like to be able to fulfill one sales order from multiple locations, i.e. part of the order is coming by freight from CA, the other part is being shipped via UPS from our warehouse.  Is this possible???  We have UPS integration set up, but it hasn't been used yet as we aren't sure if this will work. 

When I try to fulfill a sales order multiple times, it does not save the tracking info on it from a previous fulfillment.  Is there a way to do this?
