Shipping Charges On Cust Center Orders

For the last week, orders that are placed by customers in the customer center are not calculating shipping.  The shipping item is integrated, and it is the default item for the cust.   Previously, it worked fine, but now we have to go into the order and edit it to calculate the shipping.  Any ideas?  This is really causing a major problem!
