Slotting Fee Payments to Customers

We are in the food distribution business and need to pay some of our customers slotting fees. I would like to also include these payments on the Customer Profitability Report. What I have setup is a service item for resale. I made the income account on the item my Slotting Fees expense account. Then I create a credit memo to the customer with this slotting fee. The Credit Memo shows up on Customer Profitability which is great. The GL Impact of the CM is a Credit to A/R and a Debit to SLotting Fees expense. Then when I create the
