Purchase order number on Order adn Shipping confirmations

Seems easy...But It certainly is beyond me and appears to be beyond our "Consultant" as well.

My customers want a Purchase Order number to show up on both email confirmations that are sent to them via netsuite...the order confirmation and the ship confirmation...

Any solution for this?
