packageweight field too small?

Whenever an item for fulfilment has a package weight with more than 5 characters (eg 999.01 kgs) an error is thrown saying

"The field packageweight contained more than the maximum number ( 5 ) of characters allowed."

Where is packageweight so I can change the max number of characters?

This makes batch processing fulfilments impossible.
