Using NetSuite with a Third Party Logistics (3PL) provider

Hi everyone.  In my response to another thread (about OzLink Shipping versus Trueship), https://usergroup.netsuite.com/users/showthread.php?t=9896  I mentioned that Oz implemented a 3PL solution for us.  I got a PM asking about our experience in using a 3PL with Netsuite and Oz, so I thought I'd post more here in a new thread.

A bit of background:  our products are shipped directly from our factory to our third party logistics provider, who fulfills all of our orders.  When we were investigating the move to Netsuite, we needed a way to integrate that 3PL into Netsuite, so that the interaction between NS and our 3PL could be as automated as much as possible.  Oz provided the solution.
