Order Items Item Restriction

Does anyone know how to restrict the items that show up by department on the Order Items page that is linked to by Netsuite in the Reminders portlet by Items to Order.  I do not want our pharmaceuticals division to be purchasing items that belong to our materiels division by accident and vice versa.  I have been through two support reps on this one already.  Please Help!!!!!
