Shipping Items that you are not selling? World Ship

I just upgraded to the full version that includes the Shipping Integration.  Should I expect to be able to eliminate the use of UPS World Ship?  I understand how Netsuite willl allow me to process shipments for items that I sell, but will it allow me to process all other shipments:  returning items that I purchase, sending clients a Christmas gift, etc.?

Does it also do end of day?
