Error Message - xxxx.epl2 not a Win32 application

When trying to print labels using UPS integration on an Eltron LP2844 label printer, I get an error message saying that the label filename (ending in .epl2) is not a valid Win32 application and the label won't print.   Printing direct from UPS Worldship on the same label printer works fine.
Any help would be appreciated.
