Multiple shipments from one sales order
We take one sales order and do not ship complete everytime. As items are purchased and received in, we turn around and ship one line item to customer. On the packing slip we want the original sales order #1000 but on subsequent shipments, we want to change the packing slip to show #1000-1, or 1000-2 for second shipment, etc. Right now, the packing slip will only default to the original sales order #. We must manually change it in the reference field of the item fulfillment and in the subsequent invoice.
Can anyone suggest how we can get the packing slip to show the changed reference #? We have the reference # in customization changed to "order #" in heading. Thank you for any help!
