Delete FedEx package from shipping list

Does anyone know how to remove a package from the Packages tab in Item Fulfillment once the transaction has been billed?  I tried to highlight the line and click remove but once you hit save...it shows back up.  I originally had 24 boxes shipping with one transaction but now need to delete 8 and then update and reprint the remaining 16.  Any way to do that once the data has been transmitted to FedEx?
