Drop shipment with backorder items from Vendor

Hello,

How do you process a PO with back ordered items all the way back to the client so they receive an email notification indicating the items were back ordered. I would also like to provide a date of when the back ordered items expect to ship.

Is this possible with Netsuite, I've been reading the forums and Netsuite help but not getting anywhere with it.
