Entering Orders for Later Fulfillment - Help!

Hi Community,

We have a situation I'm looking assistance on.  We have products that we get pre-booked orders for.  Basically our products will arrive in our warehouse in a few months, but we want to get our orders in the system now, so that we can "flip the switch" and flush all the orders through for fulfillment when our warehouse is ready. 

Last year, we waited until the warehouse was ready which caused major delays while we entered each order in manually.

I originally thought we could enter in orders and it would just sit in back order, but that does not seem to work.
