Expiry Date for lot numbered Item not available on Picking Ticket?

Use lot numbers and expiry dates for our inventory food items. The expiry date associated with the lot number is not available on the picking ticket. Is this a bug?
EDIT : In fact it is not available on any transactional form - as we are legally obliged to display the expiry dates on items we sell on sales orders etc this is a major feature oversight.
