Link Purchase Order to Cash Sale or Invoice

Hello,

We Order items from our vendors sometimes. we then process the sale to the customer in a Cash Sale or an Invoice. on our end we issue a purchase order to the vendor.

How do we have the purchase order show on the customers dashboard. We would like to link them together somehow.?
