How to automatically email tracking ref WHEN.....

Hi,

We fulfil all of our orders in the morning, the warehouse despatches them, and the following morning we input the tracking refs via a CSV upload.

I have found a way to send the tracking ref in the email IF you enter the tracking ref at the same time as creating the fulfilment.

Is there a way that we can auto send an email with the tracking ref and link to our customers when the Tracking ref field is updated?  Maybe a workflow?  Or if anyone knows an easier way, I'm open to suggestions!
