Multiple Box COD Shipment

Has anyone had any luck shiping multiple boxes using the COD Shipping Method?  When I attempt multiple boxes...Netsuite adds the amount of the order to each box, therefore, doubling the COD amount on a 2 box order and tripling the amount on a 3 box order and so on.....This does not work very well.

I have submitted 2 cases for this over the past 4 years and it has not been addressed.

Can anyone help me with this?
I am using the following settings on the item fulfillment.

First Box:
C.O.D. Amount  Checked  500.00 USD 
C.O.D. Method   Any
