CHarge for Shipping. Before and After?

Can someone tell me the impact on existing Item Fulfilment when Charged for Shipping is turned on and what will be the impact on existing Item Fulfilments.

I now find that the item fulfilments have all changed!!  We now have NO shipping item on any existing fulfilments that I have looked at ....
