Nightmare -> Shipping method field blank after Charged for Shipping turned on

What is the quickest way to populate the
Shipping Method field in Item Fulfilment?
It has gone blank on existing records after Charged for Shipping was turned on.

The System Note shows that the field has a value in there also, Saved Search could display the values but they don't show on the Item Fulfilment > Shipping tab.

Could not do CSV import, inline editing or mass update on that field on the Item Fulfilment.
