Kit - Bill of Material

We have created “kits” comprised of inventory items and would like to know the total “cost” of said kits.   Is there any way to know the total cost of a kit based on the BOM of that kit?  If not, is there a way to export the BOM of a kit to excel with the individual item costs so that we can run our own total?
