Changing Serial/Lot Numbers

Is there a way to change the serial/lot number once it is entered and sales order is invoiced?

When fulfilling a purchase order "mark shipped", occasionally a wrong lot number is entered and we need to change it, but we cannot.

The costing method of our part numbers is "Lot numbered".
