Fast SO fulfillment for Serialized items

Hello,
In Sales orders fulfillment of Serialized items, the system requires entering each item's row, hit the "inventory detail" icon, and then, scan item by item and hit "add" button (or Enter key?) after each scan...!
When fulfilling orders with a lot of Serial numbers, it causes significant latency.
Does anyone have any idea how to improve this process?
The best improvement may be the possibility to scan all the items in a row, while the system identify them all (by the barcode already exist in the system) and only alert when needed.
